What's Going On

Wineries of the Columbia GorgeThe Columbia Gorge first became a federally designated grape-growing region when it received the Columbia Gorge Appellation in 2004. Since then, the area has rooted its importance in the wine world with a huge increase in the number of varietals grown and the number and style of wineries. On the Washington and Oregon pages are your options for a day, a weekend, or a week, of world-class wine tasting in the Gorge. If you'd rather put youselves in the hands of experienced wine guides, Christie and Phillip of Hood River Tours specialize in area wineries, with little extras thrown in along the way.
Below is a gallery to tease your palate.
