GETTING TO THE GORGE

For a small, non-industrial corner of the world, the Columbia Gorge is surprisingly accessible.  Well-maintained and under-utilized Interstate 84 runs through The Gorge on the south side of the Columbia River providing easy access from points east and west.  Washington State Highway 14 unwinds slowly along the northern shore of the river with access to small rural communities and the Gifford Pinchot and Mt. Adams wilderness areas.

Live too far away to come by car? Not a problem.  Portland International Airport, with connections around the globe, is less than an hour from the population center of The Gorge.  The Empire Builder, Amtrak's passenger service between Portland and Chicago, runs through The Gorge with a station at Bingen-White Salmon.

The important thing is to gorge yourself!  Getting here is easy and being here is amazing!  Below are links to your options.
