Portland and the Columbia River Gorge are known for their microbreweries and associated brew pubs While the term "micro" brewery originally referred to the limited production possible in a smaller brewery, the term has come to reflect an alternative attitude and approach to brewing - one of flexibility, adaptability, experimentation and customer serivce.
